Our Department's Rainfall Simulator is a unique educational tool that demonstrates what happens when rain falls on different surfaces. The simulator illustrates how landuse impacts water quality by comparing the amount of runoff vs infiltration from various samples. Available samples include: thin compacted lawn, healthy high mow turf, prairie, tilled garden, covered tilled garden, pavement and pervious pavement.
