Webinar: Salt Wise Stories: City of Appleton

Nate Loper, Deputy Director of Public Works, will overview changes at the City of Appleton from bumping up pre-wetting rates to dialing down their trigger warning for plowing. The City used to plow streets at 2" or more of accumulation. They now plow mains at 0.25" and residentials at 1.5". This singular change has signficantly reduced their salt use and provides a better overall situation for motorists.
